These terms apply to pest control services provided by Tropical Palms Pest Management (“TPPM”, “we”, “us”) and to your use of this website. By requesting a quote or booking a service, you agree to these terms. Please read them together with our privacy policy.
Our services
We provide residential and commercial pest control, including general pest treatments, termite inspections and management, rodent programs and related services across Cairns and Far North Queensland. The specific work to be carried out will be set out in your quote.
Quotes and pricing
- Quotes are provided in writing and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
- Prices assume reasonable, safe access to the areas to be treated. If the job is materially different from what was described (for example, larger property, heavier infestation or restricted access), we may need to revise the quote before proceeding.
- Unless stated otherwise, quotes are inclusive of GST.
Bookings, cancellations and access
- We will agree a booking window with you. Please let us know as early as possible if you need to reschedule.
- If you cancel or reschedule with very short notice, or we cannot gain safe access at the agreed time, a call-out or rebooking fee may apply.
- You are responsible for providing safe access and for following any preparation instructions we give (for example, clearing cupboards or keeping pets away from treated areas).
Payment
Payment is due as set out on your quote or invoice. We accept the payment methods shown on the invoice. We may pause work or withhold guarantee cover where an account remains unpaid.
Our guarantee
Most general pest treatments are backed by our written guarantee for the period stated on your invoice (commonly 6 months). If covered pests return within the service period, we will re-treat the affected area at no additional cost. The guarantee:
- Applies only to the specific pests and areas listed on your invoice.
- Requires that any preparation and aftercare instructions were followed.
- Does not cover new or unrelated infestations, conditions outside our control (such as untreated neighbouring properties or structural issues), or pests excluded at the time of service.
The exact terms of your guarantee are shown on your invoice and prevail if there is any inconsistency with this summary.
Safety and your responsibilities
We use registered products applied by licensed technicians and will brief you on any re-entry timing and precautions. You agree to follow that guidance and to tell us in advance about anyone in the household who is pregnant, has a relevant medical condition or allergy, and about pets, fish tanks, beehives or edible gardens, so we can treat safely.
Liability
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any other loss is limited to re-supplying the service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied. We are not liable for loss caused by factors outside our reasonable control or by a failure to follow our preparation and aftercare instructions.

Governing law
